AIRPOWER AIR KNIVES

Vortron, providing total engineered solutions to your air movement and drying needs, can design complete air-knife systems for a wide range of manufacturing applications. Air Superiority Air Knives are engineered to provide a highly concentrated laminar flow that exits the air-knife nozzle as an uninterrupted continuous air curtain with a well-controlled pattern. As an alternative to ineffective, low-velocity, and/or low-flow air blow-off systems, Air Superiority Air-Knife Systems provide an optimized balance of air velocity and mass flow. This balance is required for effective and efficient performance in applications such as continuous coating control, cooling (air quench) and debris removal, as well as air drying and many others.

Air Knife Dimensional Data

Gap Size: Standard gap sizes are 0.035" or 0.045" - Custom gap sizes ranging from 0.020" to 0.070" are available.

Finish: Both aluminum and stainless steel air knives come with a polished finish.

Inlet Length: Standard inlet length is 8" - Optional 18" inlets are available.

How Air-Knife Measurements are Taken:

This illustration shows how the manifold OD and height is measured on an extruded air knife. For the diamond models, the manifold OD is measured along the upper-right segment (as shown in the illustrations above); the "height" is measured along the lower-right segment. The Micro-Body manifold OD is the length of the top edge of the triangle, and the "height" is the right side (the extended edge). For all models, the "length" measurement is the effective length only: it does not include the inlet length.
