Vortron's AirPower™ Industrial Blowers in Action

AirPower™ Blowers are being employed by manufacturers within the top 100 suppliers to the global automotive industry and other industries including food and beverage, printing, test equipment, building materials, electronics, foundries, municipal waste – landfill and at government research facilities.

Applications of AirPower™ Blowers include drying, dry particle blow-off, aeration, and gas boosting. Examples include:

Removal of wood dust (prior to finish coating) from interior wood trim components for OEM automotive and marine products.

Manufacturing of traffic control signs, street name signs, construction signs, interstate & overhead markers, logo signs, custom signs and others.

Drying of rigid foam insulation prior to ink labeling.

Air supply for nondestructive airflow part testing equipment (GE, Garrett, P&W and Solar Turbine).

Development of integrated hydrogen fuel cell systems for clean power generation.

Drying phase of an aqueous degreasing cleaner for protective coating of metal parts. The inline washer is integrated into a powder coating and spray-painting production line.

Development, verification, and test of retrofit emission control technologies for diesel engines.

As part of the new packaging revolution in food processing, our blowers are used to dry chilled pouched food, such as tomato paste & mashed potatoes. Pouches are replacing metal cans, paperboard boxes and bags as producers choose more convenient and eye appealing packaging.

Air blow-off of water for a continuous belt washer with a 48" x 40' process zone operating at a rate of 15,000 pounds per hour.

Processing of float glass and fabricated glass products.

Air blow-off for inline washers of electronic engine control components, under-carriage frame parts, and for batteries for commercial, farm, marine, and military purposes.

“On the Road” with Vortron’s
              Mobile-Aire DEMO Units

Starting in April, 2003, Scales Air Compressor Corp., our distributor for Connecticut, Eastern NY, NJ and Eastern Pennsylvania, requested our 7.5 HP Mobile-Aire Demo System. The system was shipped in May for an onsite demonstration at a leading manufacturer of specialty packaging products. The application is within their foodservice/food packaging group, which serves the large and growing market for restaurant take-out, supermarkets, food processors, institutional foodservice, and catering.

After completion of site testing in September, Scales Air shipped the system to a leading manufacturer of wet processing equipment to the chemical milling, sign/ nameplate, printed circuit board, metal finishing and waste treatment markets.

Edwards Equipment had requested the system for the 16th Biennial Wichita Industrial Trade Show in Wichita, KS, the week of 14 October. A Salinas, KS lighting manufacturer was waiting at the loading dock on the closing day of the show to pick up the system for in plant testing.

Following the on-site demo in Salina, KS, Edwards shipped the system to Lincoln, NE to a second customer.

From Lincoln, NE the system was shipped in November to a major winery in Acampo, CA. The winery had installed a compressed air blow-off system but had experienced problems due to water drops on their bottles and their slip-on plastic sleeves.

Air Perfection, our Northern California distributor, handled the logistics between Lincoln and Acampo and scheduled a second demonstration at a water bottling plant.

The system is now in Colorado and may return to Scales Air in February for a very unique application – removal of rain water from a tennis court surface.
